2018 Ski Season Opening Dates - Winter 2018/2019

When do European Ski Resorts Re-open?

After a warm summer has left us dreaming of our return to the slopes, it's nearly time to book our flights, pack our ski thermals and jet off to our favourite winter wonderland for the start of the new ski season.

While some of the glacial ski resorts have remained open with limited capacity, many of our favourite ski playgrounds have closed been closed for the offseason and we're eagerly anticipating their reopening for the 2018/2019 ski season.

Check out our guide below for when our favourite ski haunts are likely to welcome S'No Queens once more.

Austrian Ski Resorts

The Hintertux glacier provided a little skiing throughout the summer, but as the weather gets colder, the resort fully reopens on the first of December.

Otherwise. Austrian Ski resorts, for the most part, start to welcome skiers from mid-November to early December, although Kitzbühel is expected to be skiable from mid-October.

French Ski Destinations

The numerous resorts belonging to our closest continental cousins, for the most part, start to reopen a week or two into December, although Tignes, Val Thorens and Val d'Isere are expected to make an earlier start to the 2018 Ski Season and declare themselves open in mid to late November.

Ski Resorts in Italy

Cervinia, by the Matterhorn, is the most snow-sure resort in Italy and opens its doors and its slopes for the 2018/2019 ski season on the 21st of October. A few resorts will be taking bookings from the start of December and by the end of December, the rest should all be fully open for business.

Swiss Ski Resorts

If you're heading to Switzerland for the start of the 2018/2019 ski season, then look to book from mid-November onwards. The popular resort of Verbier is expected to be skiable from the first of December and, of course, the glacier at Zermatt keeps the resort skiable all year, but will get better throughout winter.

Where will you start your 2018/2019 Ski Season?

After what seems like an age of making do with indoor ski domes and outdoor brush slopes, we're bursting with excitement at the prospect of getting back to the real thing. With glistening white powder, the wind whipping past our faces and the feeling of freedom that only skiing can provide.

We're all set for the ski season and with our latest collections of ladies ski thermals, you can be too. Check out our latest styles, colours and designs and make sure you're the best dressed S'No Queen in the Après .

We'll see you there!
